System Requirements

Register LTI 1.3 Tool:

First, navigate to System Admin > Integrations > LTI Tool Providers, then click Register LTI 1.3 Tool.

Enter the following Client ID:

Save the tool by clicking Submit.

Next, verify and set the following information:



  • User Fields to Send: tick the box next to ALL three fields
    • Role in Course
    • Name
    • Email Address
  • Allow grade service access: Yes
  • Allow Membership Service Access: Yes

Finally, click Submit to create the tool provider.

*Don't forget to provide PitchVantage with the LTI 1.3 Tool Deployment ID.

Manage Placements

Go to the System Admin panel. Click on LTI Tool Providers and find the Tool/Provider “PitchVantage” you just created. 

Click the arrow next to the provider domain and click Manage Placements.

Click Create Placement.

Then enter the following following:

  • Label: Enter the name that will appear in the course (for example, PitchVantage App)
  • Handle: pitchvantage-lti
  • Availability: Yes
  • Type: 
    • Select the placement type: Course Content Tool
    • Check Allow grading
  • Tick the box next to Launch in New Window
  • Icon: Add following icon

  • Tool Provider Information
  • Tool Provider Custom Parameters
    • blackboard_course_external_uid=@X@course.batch_uid@X@
    • blackboard_user_id=@X@user.pk_string@X@
    • blackboard_course_id=@X@course.pk_string@X@
    • blackboard_user_external_uid=@X@user.batch_uid@X@

Finally, click Submit.
