D2L integration for instructor

Note: this is for institutions that have enabled PitchVantage-D2L integration.

D2L Newer User Interface

Within your course, click Content.

Navigate to the Unit/Module where you would like to add PitchVantage, click Add Existing.

Click External Tool Activity.

Search and select PitchVantage. 

*Your IT may have named PitchVantage something else.

After adding PitchVantage, click three dots > Edit.

Important: select Open in a new tab (recommended).

Edit Name of the assignment, grade, and due dates as needed. Save and close.

Make the PitchVantage assignment AND the relevant module/unit visible to your students.

Lastly, make sure to click Open Link. It will directly take you to your admin account in PitchVantage and connect the two systems.

You are all set! Now PitchVantage is integrated into your course in D2L for this assignment. You can do the same for any assignments and courses in D2L. When your students are ready to complete an assignment using PitchVantage, all they need to do is log into their D2L student account, go to your course assignment, and directly click the PitchVantage link in their account to start working on it.

D2L Older User Interface

Within your course, click Content.

Navigate to the Module where you would like to add PitchVantage. Click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.

Search and select PitchVantage. 

*Your IT may have named PitchVantage something else.

After adding PitchVantage, click the down arrow > Edit Properties In-place

Important: select Open as External Resource.

Edit Name of the assignment, due date, and descriptions as needed. Make the PitchVantage assignment AND the relevant module visible to your students.

To add grade, click the down arrow > View Topic. Under Activity Details > Assessment > Add a grade item...

Lastly, make sure to click on the PitchVantage assignment. It will directly take you to your admin account in PitchVantage and connect the two systems.

You are all set! Now PitchVantage is integrated into your course in D2L for this assignment. You can do the same for any assignments and courses in D2L. When your students are ready to complete an assignment using PitchVantage, all they need to do is log into their D2L student account, go to your course assignment, and directly click the PitchVantage link in their account to start working on it.
