First, a few quick checks:

  • Close all other applications and browser tabs.
  • Is microphone plugged in (if external device) AND turned on? Disconnect and reconnect.

Is your microphone volume too low or muted? Mac | Windows


Next, check for updates:
*If your browser version is too old, you need to download the latest version and install.

Lastly, select and save your microphone in PitchVantage:
  • Log into PitchVantage
  • Click on Settings icon at the top right corner
  • Select the mic you want to use for recording
  • Save Settings
Do a test recording on the Settings page and play back to check audio quality. If the test recording didn't work, your device might be the issue. Select a different mic.

If the issue persists, try a different browser or download PitchVantage app on your phone/tablet.
